The AKETEK® VIEW AIR takes our core welding helmet to the next level by adding our state-of-the-art powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) unit to the helmet. The combination helps you perform even in the toughest conditions by protecting your lungs as well as your eyes. The AKETEK® VIEW AIR is a complete protective welding solution with a PAPR system that offers the highest safety class TH3P by filtering particles from the air you breathe by up to 99,995%.

The AIR unit works quietly and efficiently with a battery life of 13-16 hours* depending on operating mode, ensuring that it can last throughout the whole day. It works tirelessly to provide you with clean and breathable air and sits comfortably on your lower back, held in place by an adjustable belt and upper body harness. The air is supplied to you in a consistent airflow with our True Flow system that adjusts the motor speed continuously. You can set the flow mode to low (190l/min) or high (210l/min), depending on the demands of your working environment. 

The helmet model has the same features as our standalone AKETEK® VIEW and is suitable for electric arc welding (MIG/MAG, MMA, TIG), plasma welding & cutting, and grinding. It has a light state shade of 3 and a variable dark state shade in the range of 8-12. This ensures optimal visibility and protection during your work. The auto-darkening filter in all of our helmets is rated 1/1/1/1 by EN379, offering the highest level of optical clarity and safety.

Highest class TH3P protection

The AIR unit consists of multiple layers of filters that protect you from harmful airborne particles. The combination of a spark arrestor, activated carbon and a P3 HEPA filter ensures that the air supplied to the user is clean and safe, achieving the highest safety class TH3.

The AKETEK® AIR PAPR Unit

The AIR unit works quietly and efficiently with a battery life of 13-16 hours* depending on operating mode, ensuring that it can assist you throughout the whole day. It works tirelessly to provide you with clean air in a consistent airflow with our True Flow system. Thanks to the strategically positioned nozzle at the side of the helmet, the air is supplied directly to your mouth and nose region, avoiding eye irritation caused by the airflow.

Advanced Optics & Electronics

The AKETEK® VIEW AIR is based on our AKETEK® VIEW helmet. This versatile helmet is designed to be lightweight, convenient, and to give you the highest level of optical protection. All the advanced features are built-in, giving you more time to focus on your real work.

  • Smart auto-delay that dynamically adapts the speed at which the dark state returns to the light state based on your welding rhythm.

  • ‘Always on’ – So you don’t have to turn it on between each use.

Liquid crystal technology and optics are our speciality, and our welding filters offer one of the purest True Colour technologies and see-through capabilities. With our unique technology, the colour balance and brightness in our ADF reach a new level. The smart and energy-efficient electronics, allow the ADF to last for up to 88.000 hours, enabling our ‘always on’ feature.
