What is the difference between VIEW, Lift-Up and AUDIO?
VIEW is the standard helmet design. Lift-Up adds a clear grinding screen behind a lifting welding visor. AUDIO uses open-platform headgear that leaves room for over-head hearing protectors. Choose a model around your tasks and other protective equipment.
What does AIR add?
VIEW AIR and Lift-Up AIR pair a welding helmet with a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) that blows filtered air into the helmet, so you breathe clean air while you work. Welding fumes contain very fine particles and metal oxides that reach deep into the lungs. Over time they can cause lung disease, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classifies welding fumes as carcinogenic to humans. Extraction and ventilation help, but rarely remove everything in front of your face. That is why more welders should use respiratory protection, not only where a risk assessment requires it. Read the AIR instructions as well as the helmet instructions before use.

How do I find the right replacement part?
Check the part number and compatibility on the product page. AIR filters differ between generations, and the 2026 headgear requires a matching 2026 sweatband. If unsure, send support a photo of the product label and the part before ordering.

What should I check before use?
Follow the inspection procedure in your manual. Check the shell, headgear, cover plates and filter for damage and check filter operation as instructed. If protection or operation is in doubt, stop using the equipment and contact support.
When should I replace cover plates?
Replace plates that are cracked, scratched or no longer give a clear view. Use the correct inner and outer protection specified for the helmet and follow the manual's fitting and cleaning instructions.
Does the carbon prefilter replace the P3 main filter?
No. It is used together with the main particle filter. Match the filter combination to your AIR unit. Activated carbon does not itself establish suitability for a gas or vapour hazard; check the complete system instructions and workplace assessment.
How do I report a fault or request warranty support?
Email support@aketek.com with the model, serial number, purchase date, seller and purchase evidence, plus a clear description of the fault. Contact us before shipping. Commercial warranty coverage is separate from your statutory rights against the seller.
